Senior DevOps Lead
As the Senior DevOps Lead Engineer, you will play a crucial role as a technical leader, overseeing the design, implementation, and management of our cloud environment. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of skilled cloud/devops engineers, fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of innovative cloud-based solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing cloud automation, processes, performance, fortifying security measures, and driving continuous improvement within our dynamic cloud environment.
What You Will Do:

• Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management.
• Lead and mentor a team of cloud/devops engineers, offering technical guidance, conducting performance evaluations, and cultivating a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver agile, flexible, and customer-focused solutions.
• Leverage advanced tools and methodologies to improve software development and delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
• Handle code deployments in all environments.
• Ensure security, reliability, and scalability of infrastructure architecture.
• Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards.
• Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects.
• Manage CI and CD tools with team.
• Document and design various processes; update existing processes.
• Improve infrastructure development and application development.

What You Need to Be Successful:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. A master's degree will be an added advantage.
• Contribute to designing and implementing enterprise and/or web-scale hosting platforms, as well as administering application servers, web servers, and databases.
• Deep understanding of cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation and application hosting technologies.
• Experience working with software delivery teams, and understand DevOps philosophies, Agile methods, Infrastructure as Code and how to apply them to your work.
• At least one year of experience using an IaaS cloud platform and two or more application runtime platforms including physical servers, virtual servers, container clusters, serverless and databases.
• Write scripts using at least one scripting language and be comfortable building Linux or Windows servers, as well as container clusters.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools with different tech stacks.
• Previously worked with monitoring systems for stress and performance testing using the Observability Pattern: Distributed Tracing/Open Tracing, Log Aggregation, Audit Logging, Exception Tracking, Health Check API, Application Metrics, Self-Healing/Multi-Cloud.
• Understanding of security concerns, threats, and approaches for dealing with them, including infrastructure platform vulnerabilities, secrets management, network security, and software supply chain security.
• Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools, stress and performance testing, (preferred).
• Proficiency in DevOps tools and modern infrastructures, including cloud services.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git or Gitlab.
• Adapt effortlessly to uncertainty, embrace change, and confidently make decisions with limited information to achieve positive outcomes
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on proactivity and continuous improvement.
