Job Description

You are responsible for ensuring that the o9 Deployment project is delivered successfully, completed on time and within budget. This includes project governance, budget and timeline development, setting up and managing the tollgates, agile deliverables and building quality, testing and operational readiness.
How you will contribute
You will:

  • Develop, build and track the detailed project plan and all associated elements
    • Coordinate and align plans and deliverables with cross-functional teams, engaging with internal and external partners to ensure successful program delivery
    • Own project lifecycles with direct responsibility of managing their budgets, timelines, build quality, testing, and operational readiness, including confirming the completion and consistency of all projects and their readiness to go live
    • Own the updating of Jira and MSPO as needed
  • Identify, assess and mitigate program/project-level risks, escalating to global leads when necessary
  • Develop the PM resources in the team. You will coach and mentor project managers to build capability in the organization
  • Drive consistency and quality in the execution of projects using the appropriate methodology and tools
  • Provide project reporting and status updates using scorecards, status reports and monthly review meetings and leading stakeholder meetings
  • Track budget spend, resource utilization, procurement activities such as PO, SOW etc.
  • Confirm the completion and consistency of workstreams and their readiness to go live
  • Define processes to enable successful project management for the MDLZ & Partner teams
  • Manage the ownership and updating of the collaboration sits such as Teams and SharePoint.

  • Proven experience in project management methodology
  • Excellent communication skills and able to drive effective discussions with project resources from tactical execution level up to PMO members
  • Excellent project planning and proactiveness in identifying risks and mitigations and managing strict timelines
  • Strong focus on cost, schedule and quality of project delivery
  • Knowledge of relevant business processes and related technology solutions
  • Stakeholder management and ability to influence positively in decision making
  • Proven ability in building effective teams across internal and external partners
  • Strong conceptual and analytic skills - enjoys problem solving
  • Strong MS Teams and sharepoint knowledge


Requirements
What you need to know about this position:

  • This is a hybrid role based in East Hanover or Chicago
  • This is a global role which will require flexibility in work times
  • Travel will be required based on project requirements
  • This is a fixed term opportunity based on project timelines


What extra ingredients you will bring:
Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Certifications relevant to project management are strongly preferred


Job specific requirements:

  • Minimum of 12 years of project management experience is required
  • Experience leading a project team
  • Demonstrated success in the project management execution
  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience is desirable
  • Ability to effectively manage a diverse portfolio of multiple workstreams within the project simultaneously, ensuring each workstream meets its objectives within defined timelines.
  • Experience in leveraging cross-functional teams to drive project outcomes is essential
  • Experience in project plan management and all aspects of the same, inclusive of financials, resourcing, timing, risks, etc.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively convey ideas, negotiate priorities, and build consensus across all levels of the project organization. Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive decision-making processes to achieve project objectives
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic environments, managing through ambiguity, scope changes, and unexpected challenges
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to evolving project requirements and situational changes.
